Youth Involvement

Box City 2012

The youth at Main Street are invited and encouraged to participate in all aspects of church life. There is a Sunday morning class for 7th-12th graders as well as the opportunity for 9th-12th graders to join any adult classes that are of interest to them. Those are described under Adult Education.

We currently have youth leading in worship by singing in the Adult choir, participating in the praise team for the once-a-month Praise Service, serving as acolytes and liturgists, and operating sound equipment.

Youth are also serving on various committees, helping with fundraisers such as the Ham and Bean Suppers and annual Yard Sale.

Youth participate in mission activities such as bagging food for our food pantry, walking in the Crop Walk and Hike for Humanity. We hope to plan more mission involvement outside our church.

Youth are welcome to assist in the nursery. They are also invited to help with our August Vacation Bible School in a variety of ways and may still participate as attendees up through 8th grade.

Come join us and see where you might like to be involved.
