As we begin a new church year the Downtown Crossing committee would like to convey our thanks to the congregation for your solid support in the years past for the work that we do with those in need in our congregation. The recipients of your largesse have come a long way.
We crave your continued support in the following way. Please:
- Make a conscious effort to meet and greet the Burundian refugees and others who might need welcoming.
- Continue to be available for assistance from time to time for needs that come up during the year. A multi-ethnic fund raiser in the form of an international luncheon is planned for later this year.
- The committee will be entering into a conversation with a group of persons who will commence conversations with civic, business and government leaders in Nashua for a goal of making poverty a thing of the past. Soon there will be a book in the library titled, "Until It's Gone". We urge you to take time to read the book when you can.
