Youth Involvement

VBS 2022

August Vacation Bible School includes support from our youth.  They may still participate as attendees up through 9th grade.

Parsonage Cleanup 2020

The youth at Main Street are invited and encouraged to participate in all aspects of church life. There is a Sunday morning class for 7th-12th graders as well as the opportunity for 9th-12th graders to join any adult classes that are of interest to them.

We currently have youth leading in worship by serving as acolytes, liturgists, sound system operators and ushers. Youth are also welcome to join the Adult Choir and Bell Choir.

Youth may also be serving on various committees and helping with fundraisers such as the Ham and Bean Suppers.

Youth participate in mission activities such as volunteering at the Nashua Soup Kitchen Food Pantry, walking in the Crop Walk and Hike for Humanity and banging pots for the Souper Bowl of Caring. We hope to plan more mission involvement outside our church.  This year will be the first youth  mission trip.

Youth are welcome to assist in the nursery during worship. They are also invited to help with our August Vacation Bible School in a variety of ways and may still participate as attendees up through 9th grade.

Come join us and see where you might like to be involved. For more information contact Karrie Lam -- Youth@mainstreet-umc.org!

Summer Mission Trip

MSUMC Mission Team 9.8.19 3rd revision pptx.mp4

In 2019, our youth recently participated in an exciting mission opportunity!  Our mission work was hosted by the United Methodist Action Reach-out Mission by Youth (U.M. ARMY).  This organization has been providing mission opportunities for youth and adults for 40 years.  We partnered with several other UM churches to work in the Dover community doing projects, such as handicap access ramps, step and stair repair, handrail installation, painting, yard work and a variety of other projects.
