Our ancestors found - even in the throws of enslavement, exile, and what felt like defeat -

new ways to sing to God,

new ways to stay together as a community,

new ways to praise God, who promises

to be with us, to give us strength,

and to shepherd us

as we move through it.

Thus the call to support this congregation is a celebration of how we are together for joy!

We are a community of hope-in-the-midst-of-despair;

connection, relationship, and love;

transformative accompaniment;

all for the sake of praise and thanksgiving,

and ultimately, for joy!
